Hopefully everyone can enjoy this incredible time-lapse I got one night on the roof of the Bok building. I had the most enjoyable time working with the Remark time everyone was so nice, i learned a lot to further carry on in my practice. Thank you for that Remark ! If anyone has not gone to the Bok yet please go experience it, theres also days where many of the studios have open studio days go check it out!!!

Week 4 part 2 with Megan and Kat

     The last half of week three included mostly canvas cleaning. A mother and her daughter sent us piles of their practice paintings, and we got to watch their skills develop as we looked at the canvases one by one. It was fun to see what techniques they were trying, and to see the styles and techniques they loved and grew comfortable with. Some paintings were simple, experimental, and quick, while others obviously had taken them quite some time. My boss and I flipped through the canvases and admired the acrylic and oil, the landscapes and pet portraits, and the loveliness of a mother painting with her daughter. One interesting thing was the mother had a lot of ocean paintings she had done, and in each one it was clear that she was trying a new technique or experimenting in color theory. Last Week with Kat and Megan

Last week!! During my last week at Art Restoration Technologies, I got sick and had to go home early. I was so sad to miss out on my last days there! Regardless, I did get to do some fun stuff before wrapping up my internship with Megan. We had two large candelabras to clean, sort of Beauty and the Beast style, curving sterling silver centerpieces with five candle holders per piece. The silver was tarnished, so I took almost an entire day cleaning one of the very heavy candelabras with silver polish. It was such a large task, that even by the end of the day I hadn’t finished it. It was fun work though, and very satisfying to watch the dull, dark metal become bright and shining. That day, Sherry ran out for coffee and picked us up some soy lattes, which was quite the treat during work.
